George Michael has apparently signed up to play a guardian angel who dishes out advice to Jonny Lee Miller's character in a new US TV show. The 44-year-old singer is due to appear alongside the Trainspotting star in the first series of ABC's new supernatural show Eli Stone, reports the Daily Star. The show's writer producer Greg Berlanti said: "When George said yes, we sort of saw that we were on the right track with the show." Jonny plays troubled lawyer Eli, who has bizarre dreams in which George appears to him and gives him moral advice. The singer's website said: "The show features George appearing in dream sequences where he imparts sage advice to the lead character, encouraging him to do good deeds." The show, which also stars Natasha Henstridge, Loretta Devine and Victor Garber, is due to be shown this autumn in America and some episodes are reportedly set to be titled after George Michael songs.
