Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding has been signed up to star in a drama about the credit crunch. Sarah, 26, will play the high-maintenance beautician girlfriend of a wealthy city financier in the BBC drama entitled Freefall, reports The Sun. Sarah, who appeared in the remake of St Trinians alongside her Girls Aloud bandmates last year, has had acting lessons but the actors in the show have been told they must improvise. Lily Allen's brother Alfie has also been lined up to star in the drama, written by Dominic Savage. Sarah said: "Dominic Savage's films are all about improvisation, which is pretty challenging, but that's also a big reason why I want to do the project. "It's a bit nerve-wracking not having all my girls with me. They're really supportive though, and can't wait to see the end result." Explaining the idea behind Freefall, Dominic said: "This is a film essentially about greed that in many ways has got out of control. "It is a film that reflects our obsession with wanting more, wanting everything, the desire in many of us to gain the world, but in doing so, potentially lose our souls." Sarah's bandmate Cheryl Cole is currently going down a storm as a judge on the ITV1 talent show The X Factor.
