Homeland star up for Golden Globe

Homeland star Damian Lewis has been nominated for a Golden Globe for his portrayal of US soldier Nicholas Brody in the hit show. The star, who also appeared in Band Of Brothers, is listed in the best actor in a television drama series category alongside other big names including Mad Men's Jon Hamm and Boardwalk Empire's Steve Buscemi. His Homeland co-star, Claire Danes, faces competition from Downton Abbey's Michelle Dockery in the race to be named the best actress in a television drama series. ITV's costume drama hit is also nominated for the best television drama series along with US shows including Boardwalk Empire, Breaking Bad and Homeland. The BBC show, Episodes, is nominated for best television comedy series. The 70th annual Golden Globe Awards will be held in Los Angeles on January 13.
