It’s finally happened. The Irish singing duo known as Jedward have joined forces with cult horror movie franchise Sharknado and are coming to our screens tonight on Syfy at 10pm!

What’s on TV caught up with identical twins, John and Edward Grimes, to ask them about their involvement in Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!, working on the movie’s theme tune, and their plans for the future…

Talking about their acting debut, Edward, 23, said: “Sharknado is such an iconic movie and everyone knows the Jedward brand, they’re both very cool.”

John added: “The collaboration of the Sharknado brand and the Jedward brand have come together to make Jednado. And it was really great making our debut.”

Edward continued: “This is something we’ve been waiting for. We wanted to be in Sharknado 2, but now we’re in Sharknado 3.”

The former X Factor contestants befriended Sharknado star Tara Reid when they all appeared in Celebrity Big Brother in 2011. Since then the trio have been firm friends.

The twins reveal they’re delighted to have been able to compose Sharknado 3’s catchy theme tune Oh Hell No! : “We could get an Emmy because our song has been in a TV movie… Writing raps you feel like a poet because you have to get the imagery, the metaphors and create some magic!”

During the interview Jedward reveal they didn’t take any acting lessons for their Sharknado roles, but would love to act again in the future. They’ve also been working on catalogue of songs and are planning a tour soon. Jedward even treat us to a blast of Oh Hell No!

But the big question on everyone’s lips is, do Jedward get chomped by killer sharks in the movie?

They reveal: “We never die. Jedward will live forever. It would break people’s hearts. People wouldn’t be able to continue watching the movie… Fingers crossed there is a fourth Sharknado and we’re in it!”
