Jekyll and Hyde will not air tonight ‘in consideration of recent events in Paris’

An ITV spokesperson has confirmed that Jekyll and Hyde will not go to air at 7.00pm tonight after the show’s writer, Charlie Higson, tweeted the news earlier today.

Tonight’s episode was to feature a kidnap at gunpoint.

“We are just trying to be sensitive,” Charlie added, referring to the devastating terrorist attack in France, which has killed 129 people.

“Tonight’s episode has been postponed in consideration of recent events in Paris,” an ITV spokesperson later confirmed.

The X Factor and I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! will still air at their scheduled times.
