Kevin Spacey’s House of Cards character Frank Underwood is DEAD

House of Cards season 5

Frank Underwood has officially been killed off

A new trailer for the sixth and final series of House of Cards has revealed that Frank Underwood, played by Kevin Spacey, is dead.

Making it absolutely clear that this is one crisis Frank can’t come back from the Netflix trailer shows his grave, which reads: Francis J. Underwood, 46th President of the United States of America, with his dates, 1959-2017.

Frank’s wife Claire (Robin Wright) is seen at his grave, saying: “I’ll tell you this though, Francis. When they bury me, it won’t be in my backyard. When they pay their respects, they’ll have to wait in line.”

The trailer doesn’t reveal how Frank dies, but we do know the new series will follow Claire, who took over as President at the end of series five.

Did Claire murder Frank? Actress Robin Wright previously shared a picture of Claire with blood on her hands and her wedding ring, suggesting that perhaps Frank suffered a bloody fate.

Robin described working with the cast and crew on the final series of House of Cards as being an “absolute joy” with “nonstop laughs!”

The final eight-part series of House of Cards will be shown in November with Claire now taking centre stage.
