Kirsty Gallacher, Ian Wright to host Gladiators

Kirsty Gallacher and Ian Wright have signed up to present the revived Gladiators. Sky One is bringing back the popular show, which was a hit for ITV during the 1990s, in May. Original referee John Anderson is also returning to the show, in which contestants compete for a £50,000 prize. Filmed at Shepperton studios, Gladiators is expected to be broadcast in its traditional Saturday primetime slot following a 21st Century makeover. Ex-footballer Ian, 44, said: "Gladiators is a great show and I am thrilled to be involved. "Since people first heard it was coming back the response has been phenomenal and I am so excited that a new generation get to experience it." Kirsty, 32, added: "I grew up with Gladiators so I couldn't be more excited to be involved in the new series. "It promises to be great entertainment on a major scale and I can't wait to get started."
