Ricky Gervais has been offering acting masterclasses – on Twitter.

The Derek funnyman has been sharing his pearls of wisdom on the micro-blogging site, where the series of lessons, some of which were shot during bathtime, include how to react to bad news, hail a cab and experience poltergeist activity.

In lesson number one, titled ‘Bumping into an old friend in a bar', the actor, director and writer stops in mid-soak to give advice.

The second lesson, on receiving bad news, was also filmed from the bathtub.
