Lesley Sharp says it's been great filming the second series of Scott And Bailey because the first instalment got such a good reception. The actress, 46, stars with Suranne Jones as the female detective duo in the ITV1 drama. She said: "It's been great second time around, even better than last year, I think. "Last time, we had no idea how it was going to be received, but the prevailing wind behind this series is a very good and positive one." The first series reached 9.4 million viewers when it was broadcast last year. Lesley, whose credits include Clocking Off, The Second Coming, Bob And Rose, Afterlife and The Shadow Line, said: "Obviously we've got to wait and see how it goes, but fingers crossed the audience that was with us last time will be there again." She said of the drama: "We attempted to show the police in as real a light as we possibly could ... We all pay meticulous attention to the detail in police procedure, which I think is one of the reasons people find it so compelling." Scott And Bailey returns to ITV1 on Monday, March 12.
