Liam's Olympic encounter with Noel

Liam Gallagher has revealed he bumped into brother Noel after the Olympic closing ceremony - and shared "a nod and a wink". The siblings have been at war since Oasis split up in 2009, and have exchanged public digs at each other, with Liam revealing he called his cat Lazy Our Kid in reference to his older brother. But Liam told the Sun of their brief encounter after the Olympics gig in August: "I met our kid. That was nice. No, we didn't talk much. We had a nod and a wink." He also insisted he wasn't bothered by Noel referring to his new group Beady Eye as "Stratford's finest tribute band". "I thought that was pretty funny," he said. "Life's too short to get hung up on things like that."
