Michael Bublé is coming to BBC One in November for a one-off, hour-long performance. The Canadian crooner will be accompanied by a 30 piece orchestra, and Claudia Winkleman will be interviewing the star in between songs.

Michael Bublé is set to star in his own hour-long BBC special this November - accompanied by his band and a 30 piece orchestra.

The programme, Michael Bublé  at the BBC, will see the Canadian star perform his greatest hits and songs from his new album Nobody But Me.

Filmed in front of a live studio audience at MediaCityUK in Salford, the multi-platinum record selling artist will also be chatting to Strictly Come Dancing presenter Claudia Winkleman about his music, his new family and what inspires him.

The show follows in the footsteps of Adele at the BBC, which was broadcast in October 2015 on BBC One. The programme was subsequently nominated for Best Entertainment Programme at this year's BAFTA awards.

After making his debut in 2003, Bublé became famed for songs such as Haven't Met You Yet and Crazy Love and covers of easy listening classics like Sway and Me and Mrs Jones.

In a statement, Bublé said: “I loved Adele at the BBC and I'm so excited and honoured to have been invited by the BBC to do my own show for them. I'm sure it will be a blast.”

Speaking of her invitation to interview Michael Bublé, Claudia Winkleman said: “When you are asked ‘would you like to interview Michael Bublé and watch him sing?’ you don’t say no. You change your whole life to accommodate this request. I can’t wait."

The recording will take place in MediaCityUK studios in Salford in October and you could be in the audience. Registration to apply is open from now – please visit bbc.co.uk/music for further details.

Announcing the news, Charlotte Moore, Director of BBC Content, said: “Following the huge success of our Adele special last year, BBC One is bringing viewers another unmissable night of music from the one and only Michael Bublé hosted by the brilliant Claudia Winkleman.”
