Nineties workout guru Mr Motivator has announced he will return to GMTV in a bid to tackle the UK's growing obesity problem. The fitness instructor - real name is Derrick Evans - rose to fame with his high-energy workouts on the breakfast TV programme. Often dressed in garish neon lycra and baseball hats, he would shout: "Get off yo fat ass!" He will return to GMTV in January 2009 to front their campaign to get Britain fitter and healthier. Mr Motivator will tour the UK with GMTV's health squad – Dr. Hilary Jones and nutritionist Amanda Ursell - visiting viewers who are in need of help to improve nutrition, fitness and overall health. Mr Motivator, pictured in his heyday with presenter Lorraine Kelly, said: "I am very excited to be coming back to GMTV to get the nation fit and motivated in 2009. "Although I've been away, I have still continued on my mission of highlighting the wonderful benefits that can be derived from employing a healthy lifestyle. Mr Motivator holds the record for selling the most fitness DVDs in the UK with his award-winning Bums Legs Tums fitness videos. He added: "Britain has got fat together, now it's time to get fit together." Get exclusive access to your favourite stars. Subscribe to TV Times magazine
