The mother of TV presenter Mark Speight's late fiancée has told of her double anguish at losing them both, following his death. Speight, host of CBBC's SMart, was found hanged at Paddington Station on Sunday, four months after Natasha Collins died after a cocaine binge. Depressed Speight had been staying with Natasha's mother, Carmen, who reported him missing on Monday April 7 - six days after an inquest recorded a verdict of misadventure into Natasha's death. Carmen told The Sun: "We were devastated to lose Natasha earlier this year and for Mark to have now died as well is tragic. "We are very sad and cannot believe what has happened. Mark was a deeply special person, his loving nature and kind heart made such a difference to our lives." She added: “Since Natasha died, we as a family have grown closer to Mark. We can see why Natasha loved him so much as we grew to love him even more. "His vivacious personality touched many and we were privileged to have had him in our lives.” A post-mortem is to be carried out on Speight, who was found by rail workers on the roof of MacMillan House - an office block next to Paddington Station, West London. Police are trying to find out how he managed to access the partially-disused office block and are looking at CCTV from the station from the Monday that Speight was last seen alive. Natasha was found dead in the bath in the flat the couple shared in St John's Wood, north London, back in January. She had taken cocaine and sleeping tablets and suffered hot water burns covering 60 per cent of her body. Speight was initially arrested on suspicion of murder and supplying class A drugs but no charges were brought.
