According to a newspaper report, the BBC has lined up former model Jodie Kidd, actor Philip Glenister and presenter Guy Martin to take over as the Top Gear team.
Jodie, who holds one of the fastest lap times in Top Gear’s “Star In A Reasonably Priced Car” and who currently presents Channel 5’s The Classic Car Show, is remaining tight-lipped on the subject.
But Jodie has said: “It’s going to be interesting, the next couple of months,” says the Telegraph.
Philip and Guy have been reportedly been approached but neither has made any comments.
The Independent claims Top Gear co-creator Andy Wilman was overheard describing the new line-up over lunch with Jamiroquai singer Jay Kay.
The BBC is looking for new presenters for the hugely popular show after they were forced to sack Jeremy Clarkson for assaulting a producer, while co-presenters Richard Hammond and James May refused to sign new contracts.
