Fans of the Fantastic Four’s Human Torch Chris Evans, and War of the Worlds star Dakota Fanning (now very grown up) will lap up this rocking adventure about psychic espionage.

In the bustling city of Hong Kong, Evan’s character Nick has gone into hiding because he has telekinetic powers. A sinister government agency (aren’t they all) is rounding up his kind in a bid to develop an army capable of bringing down foreign powers. But Nick is forced out of hiding when Fanning’s clairvoyant Cassie seeks Nick’s help in locating a briefcase filled with millions in cash.

To find it, they have to track down a woman called Kira, who can implant thoughts into people’s minds. With the help of a team of people with special abilities, the unlikely pair takes on the corrupt government agency and paranormal gangsters in a bid to find Kira.

With British TV devoid of all our favourite shows like Heroes or 24 at the moment, and only big sports events to choice from, Push is an adrenalin-fuelled summer treat.

The DVD and Blu-ray editions feature four deleted scenes, a making of featurette and audio commentary from Chris Evans, Dakota Fanning and director Paul McGuigan.
