Ricky Gervais: 'I'm basically a fat guy and working out is killing me!' (VIDEO)

Ricky Gervais has revealed his battle to stay fit and joke that he's 'a fat guy at heart'.

The Office and Derek star explained in an interview with The Daily Show's Jon Stewart that he face a neverending cycle of overeating, drinking and rowking out.

Ricky said: "I worked out and I lost a little bit of weight, but I'm basically a fat guy at heart and it's killing me. Trying to keep fit is literally killing me.

"I don't want to give anything up so I still eat pizza and I get drunk every night and then I have to go for a run in the morning, like Rocky, and it kills me."

Ricky appears on The Daily Show on Comedy Central Extra on June 5 at 12.45am.
