Friends and colleagues of Mark Speight have attended a memorial service to pay tribute to the tormented children's TV presenter. Mark hanged himself in a building near Paddington railway station in April, just months after his fiancee, actress Natasha Collins, died in a drugs-related incident at the couple's flat. Among those taking part in Wednesday's service at the 'actor's church' in Covent Garden were artist and presenter Rolf Harris and Mark's co-host on SMart, Kirsten O'Brien. The memorial also saw the launch of a foundation set up by Mark's father in honour of his son. Scores of well-wishers attended the event commemorating the life of the long-running presenter of BBC programme SMart. The 42-year-old hosted the popular show for 14 years before stepping down following his fiancee's death. Natasha Collins was found dead in the bath of the couple's flat in St John's Wood, north west London, in January. Speight was initially arrested on suspicion of murder and supplying class A drugs, but no charges were brought. Friends said the incident left Speight reeling and he went missing on April 7, just days after the inquest into his fiancee's death. Hundreds of well-wishers attended his funeral in April.
