Poor Scarlett, she didn’t even have a chance!

Former Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt ticked another big career box today when she presented for BBC News live from the Royal Wedding.

The 28-year-old was ready and waiting for Meghan Markle to arrive at Windsor Castle earlier this afternoon and, kitted out with headphones and a microphone, she shared a clip of the moment on Instagram.

Scarlett wrote: ‘Wow, first glimpse of Meghan, who looks absolutely stunning. #royalwedding #harryandmeghan.’

But unfortunately for Scarlett she didn’t get long to take in Meghan’s beauty – as the car zoomed straight past!

A clearly excited Scarlett spoke as she geared up for the car's arrival, but she clearly wasn't expecting Meghan to be travelling at such speed. Well, she couldn't be late to her own wedding.

And her fans on Instagram were quick to point this out, with one writing: ‘Didn’t really drive slow.’

Another said: ‘Omg how fast was that car going lol.’ While a third added: ‘Lol not even a sec.’

But, unsurprisingly, her followers were also full of praise. ‘Well done Scarlett,’ gushed one. ‘What a fantastic job you did today.’

And another said: ‘You were and are fabulous.’

We definitely agree and we’re sure Scarlett had a blast today!
