Scarlett Moffatt: 'I would love to do something over in the US'

The Saturday Night Takeaway star is hoping for a future career across the pond.

While Scarlett Moffatt has undeniably won over the hearts of the public in the UK, it seems she's also set her sights on career success in the USA.

The Saturday Night Takeaway presenter, who is currently in Florida for the series finale of the show, revealed that she'd love to work in America - but has one niggling concern.

She confessed, "I would love to do something over here. I think it’s really fun and everyone’s really friendly.

"The only problem is I’m super sarcastic and I don’t know if my sarcasm would go down well. And my accent! There’s always elocution lessons! Just start talking posh all of a sudden.

"But yes I would love that – to do a James Corden."

But Scarlett also took a moment to reflect on her TV success so far. She admitted that she still can't believe her luck that she's starring on one of her favourite shows.

When asked if, and how, she would have applied for a place on the plane if she wasn't on the show, she confessed, "1000% I think my mum did apply for something one year. We’d have just said we were proper super fans of the show.

"I still am a superfan of the show. And now I’ve won a place on the plane twice!"

The 27-year-old is currently at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida, rehearsing for the final episode of Saturday Night Takeaway with Declan Donnelly and Stephen Mulhern.

It marks the second time that the ITV show has headed to the US state to film the programme. In 2017, Ant & Dec headed to Disneyworld, to shoot the final episode.

But if it was down to Scarlett, next years series would be taking place somewhere 'totally different'. So where would they head if it was up to Scarlett?

She revealed, "I think somewhere beachy would be fun. Totally different. Miami perhaps! That would be epic. A real beach party."

Scarlett Moffatt also shared that she'd love for the show to up its game next series -  by showing a real wedding, live on TV.

She said, "An actual wedding would be nice. Let’s make that a segment." We'd certainly tune in!

Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway comes live from Universal Orlando Resort on Saturday 7th April at 7pm on ITV.
