Childhood friends Scot Soul sailed through the live final of Pitch Battle after impressing guest judge Chaka Khan on last night's show.

The group faced The Fly Boys in the Final Battle, both taking turns to perform Chaka Khan’s iconic hit Ain’t Nobody.

But during an instrumental break in the song, guest judge Chaka rose from her seat and made her way over to the stage and joined in with Scot Soul, indicating they had won this week’s episode and made it through to the live final.

Speaking after the performance, Scot Soul described the moment as "absolutely incredible".

Scot Soul will be returning to the Pitch Battle studio and will perform alongside Chaka Khan in the live final next month.

Hosted by Mel Giedroyc and inspired by the smash-hit movie Pitch Perfect, starring Rebel Wilson, Pitch Battle sees 30 rival choirs from across the UK – six each across five heats – facing-off in a series of knockout challenges including showstoppers, themed ‘Riff-Offs’ and solo battles.

With a £50,000 cash prize at stake, the singers need to sing – or be sung-off!

Pitch Battle returns to BBC One next Saturday 1st July at 7.30pm for another bout of choral combat as six brand new groups battle it out in their bid to be crowned the Pitch Battle champions of 2017.
