Sex And The City's style icons came to London for the world premiere of a movie charting the characters' lives four years on. The crowd was almost as excited about the leading ladies' outfits as they were about the plot and there were no disappointments on the red carpet at the Odeon Leicester Square, which had been sprinkled with sparkles for the occasion. First to arrive was Sarah Jessica Parker, wearing a pale green dress by Alexander McQueen. Asked why the premiere was in London and not New York, where the series is set, she said: "We decided to have it here and we're delighted to be here." Kim Cattrall was the second to arrive, wearing a red off-the-shoulder knee-length dress with a faint stripe by Vivienne Westwood. She said she was delighted to be in London. "In the four years since the series ended, I have been spending a lot of time with friends and family in Britain and working here," she said. Asked if she'd be willing to do a sequel, she said: "Perhaps." Cynthia Nixon, who plays Miranda, arrived wearing a floor-length low-cut black Calvin Klein dress. She spoke to fans, but avoided the media. Kristin Davis, who plays Charlotte, was the last of the foursome to arrive, wearing a cherry red vintage sleeveless dress and cream peep-toe heels. Other famous faces on the red carpet included Michelle Ryan, Tess Daly, Lisa Snowden, Kelly Rowland, Kimberley Stewart and Mackenzie Crook. The film is released in the UK on Wednesday, May 28.
