It's never been tougher to be a critic than in 1973's Theatre of Blood, one of the greatest horror comedies of all time. Vincent Price gives a career best performance as Edward Lionhart, a veteran Shakespearean actor who, when passed over for the coveted Critic's Circle award for Best Actor takes deadly revenge on the critics who snubbed him. Featuring a superb cast, including Diana Rigg, Harry Andrews, Jack Hawkins and Arthur Lowe, Theatre of Blood is a deliciously macabre cult classic that's worth a revisit.
Courtesy of Arrow Video in the UK, the cult black comedy is now making its debut on Blu-ray and in a Blu-ray Steelbook tomorrow (Monday 19 May) featuring an incredible array of bonus features, including an hilarious commentary from TV’s The League of Gentlemen (Mark Gatiss, Steve Pemberton, Reece Shearsmith and Jeremy Dyson).
