Tim Vine: ‘I said yes to Blandings before I’d seen an episode!’

Comedian Tim Vine reveals he’s at the beck and call of an all-star cast when he joins BBC1's Blandings as Beach the butler!

Taking over the role from Mark Williams, who played P.G. Wodehouse’s literary creation in series one, Tim said:

“Although I felt like the new boy and was stepping into Mark Williams’ shoes nobody ever said ‘well Mark used to do it like this’. Thankfully!”

Chatting to What’s on TV about his new role Tim, the younger brother of presenter Jeremy Vine, added:

“I said yes to it before I’d even watched it or read the stories - and part of the reason for that was because I wanted to work with Jennifer Aniston and Timothy Spall!”

The first episode of the new series airs on BBC1, Sunday 16th February, at 6.30pm, with Harry Enfield guest starring as unwelcome visitor, The Duke of Dunstable.
