Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Netflix
Fans of 1990s comedy Sabrina the Teenage Witch are in for a far spookier slice of fun in this clever re-imagining. The quirky drama finds Mad Men’s Kiernan Shipka on top form as half-witch, half-human Sabrina Spellman who, as she reaches her 16th birthday, is having doubts about whether she should fully tap into her witchy heritage and leave her human pals behind. Miranda Otto and Lucy Davis provide great support as her chalk-and-cheese aunts, along with Michelle Gomez as possessed teacher Miss Wardell, who adds a sinister spin to proceedings as Sabrina’s nemesis. Rating: ****
Would I Lie to You?, 9.30pm, BBC1
Long before she made the nation cry in Broadchurch, Olivia Colman was at university with David Mitchell, who she later starred with in Peep Show. So that’s how WILTY managed to book the most popular actress in Britain! She’s brilliant fun, too. Also tonight, Jon Richardson tells a hilarious story about his guitar teacher, David says he’s a gifted table tennis player and Aston Merrygold does a backflip. Rating: *****

We live in the age of technology yet there’s been a resurgence of Britain’s best-loved crafting techniques, from baking to knitting. With our lives full of mod cons it’s a pleasant way to spend time, but what was it really like to produce cheese in the 1600s or work in Luton’s toxic hat-making industry? Steph McGovern hosts a new six-part series that tasks four modern craftspeople with making things that often haven’t been made in centuries. Tonight the team time-travel through Sheffield’s steel industry, hand-making a scythe in a traditional forge and mass-producing cutlery in a Victorian factory. Definitely a history lesson worth turning up for. Rating: ****
