We've all faced the disappointment of finding a US drama we really want to watch, only for it not to be available in the UK.
The US is constantly creating must-see entertainment content and you might be thinking that these programs are only available to US audiences — but that's not the case.
Thanks to these US streaming platforms securing deals with UK broadcasters like Sky and ITV, we can now watch award-winning content from a variety of genres. Although the UK isn't guaranteed the same release date as those across the pond, it saves you from waiting an age until they reach UK screens.
Here are the US dramas available to watch on both UK channels and streaming this week, as well as our top picks.
Dark Matter season 2
Apple TV takes us into another mind-bending dimension with the second season of hit sci-fi thriller Dark Matter. Based on Blake Crouch's novel of the same name, the series stars Joel Edgerton as physicist Jason Dessen, who becomes trapped in an alternate version of his life.
After the time-warping torment in season 1, season 2 "picks up with the Dessens as they settle into a quiet life in a world that finally seems safe until the unimaginable forces them to run once again. As Jason’s obsession with the Box deepens, Daniela’s (Jennifer Connelly) growing paranoia pushes her to the brink, threatening to tear their fragile stability apart. Elsewhere, Amanda (Alice Braga) and Ryan (Jimmi Simpson) join forces in a desperate attempt to find their way home. With Blair (Amanda Brugel) determined to stop him, while Leighton (Dayo Okeniyi) relentlessly chases his grand vision of creating a perfect world."

The Rainmaker
There's law and disorder in ITV1's adaptation of John Grisham's legal thriller The Rainmaker. Milo Callaghan takes on the role of rookie lawyer Rudy Baylor, 28 years after Matt Damon played the character in the 1998 movie version of the story.
The Rainmaker follows Rudy as he goes up against his powerful former firm led by Leo F. Drummond (John Slattery) and his ex-girlfriend, Sarah (Madison Iseman), when he uncovers a dark conspiracy surrounding the mysterious death of their client’s son.
The first episode airs on 28th August, but if you can't wait for all 10 episodes, the full boxset is available from that date on ITVX.
You're Killing Me
Cosy crime drama You're Killing Me continues on U&Drama, which centres on an unlikely duo — mystery novelist Allison ‘Allie’ Chandler (Brooke Shields) and young but cynical true-crime podcaster Andrea ‘Andi’ Wallace (Amalia Jane Williamson). Despite their clashing personalities, the pair prove to be an unexpected crime-solving duo in their fictional town of Founders Cove.
In episode 3 airing on 4 September, a copycat killer torments Founders Cove by recreating murders from Allie's novels. As fear spreads across the town, Allie, Andi, and Jack (Tom Cavanagh) must catch the criminal before they strike again.
