And, in the long tradition of maverick lawmakers, Bancroft often employs unconventional methods to get results… In this compelling four-part drama by Kate Brooke (Mr Selfridge, Ice Cream Girls), new recruit DS Katherine Stevens (Game of Thrones and Love, Nina star Faye Marsay) is assigned to a cold case that has serious consequences for Bancroft… You won’t have to wait long to find out what happens next – the drama continues nightly until Thursday. Being a pensioner in Cuba looks like a blast and, this week, we see Harry Potter star Miriam Margolyes, darts legend Bobby George, dancer Wayne Sleep and former newsreader Jan Leeming check out the all-dancing, partying city of Havana. But while Miriam moans about the lack of internet, Bobby plays dominos and Wayne joins a dance troupe, flirty Jan takes a chance on a holiday romance. ‘I’d like to meet someone but unfortunately that might never happen now,’ she says. Miriam, who describes herself as ‘an old tart’ soon warms to her surroundings when she attends a class about sex for pensioners and Wayne finds that he has a new lease of life. Heart-warming, inspiring stuff. Rating: ****
