TV Times top picks for tonight
What’s on telly tonight? Here the TV Times team of expert reviewers highlight the best shows on Thursday 22nd February
Benidorm, 9.00pm, BBC1
You’ll spot a couple of familiar faces in tonight’s episode as former Casualty star Suzanne Packer and Dragons’ Den entrepreneur Levi Roots guest star as members of a reggae band. The group split up decades ago, but they’re back together for a reunion gig on the island – a performance that leaves one of them dead. To solve the murder, Jack and the team first need to crack a cold case that still keeps the Commissioner awake at night… Plus, there’s a shock for Dwayne when his dad turns up on the island. It’s the last in the current series, but don’t fret: the BBC has already announced there’ll be more Death in Paradise next year! Rating: *****
Married at First Sight, 9.00pm, C4
As last week’s newlyweds, Ben and Steph, head off on their honeymoon, two more strangers put their trust in science and say ‘I do’ as they meet for the first time. Police sergeant Richard, 28, and finance director Harriet, 32, seem the least likely people to do something as spontaneous as marrying a complete stranger – they appear so sensible. But fingers crossed that’s not the only thing they have in common! Rating: ****
The Job Interview, 10.00pm, C4
“If you were a sausage, what type of sausage would you be?” That’s one of the more unusual questions asked as this brilliant fly-on-the-wall series continues. But it’s not quite as odd as it sounds – the asker is the owner of sausage makers Heck Foods, who wants to know if the interviewee has done their homework on the world’s best bangers. Elsewhere, spa company Champneys is hiring – will they find someone to “Champney-fy”? Rating: ****
More previews tomorrow
