What’s on telly tonight? Here the TV Times team of expert reviewers highlight the best shows on Thursday 25th October

Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip, 9pm (times vary), ITV

The last leg of Gordon Ramsay, Gino D’Acampo and Fred Sirieix’s culinary adventure takes them on a tour of Gordon’s home turf. On the Scotland travel itinerary are the Highland Games (not something Gino is keen on!), hand-diving for scallops in freezing Scottish waters and getting kitted out in kilts, an activity that Gino feels he can fully embrace! On the menu are Scottish beef, scallops and haggis. But the pressure is turned up when Gordon decides he wants to cook a fantastic feast for the chief of Clan Ramsay at Brechin Castle, in the hope he’ll be officially welcomed into the family. Ambulance, 9pm, BBC1

We join the Wednesday night shift with the North West Ambulance Service and some of the 96 crews on duty. As April and Claire attend a young woman who is self-harming, a Category 1 call – the most serious – comes through for a child who is not breathing. Advanced paramedic Luke is one of the first on the scene, but he’s not there long before another call: this time for a five-year-old who’s been hit by a car and needs help. Rating: *****

Emmerdale 1918, 8.30pm, ITV

The final episode of this unexpected gem of a series sees the stars of ITV’s rural soap organise their very own Armistice street party. It’s roll-up-your-sleeves time for Charlotte Bellamy (Laurel Thomas), who is master of ceremonies, head of catering Mark Charnock (soap chef Marlon Dingle), Natalie J Robb (fictional farmer Moira Dingle) who dresses the set, and Bhasker Patel (Rishi Sharma) who meets and greets the relatives of the series’ World War One heroes. Former Emmerdale star John Middleton – best known for playing vicar Ashley Thomas – makes a special guest appearance to reveal real-life Rev Richard Whincup’s astonishing story. A suitably stirring conclusion. Rating: ****

More previews tomorrow.
