John Bishop: In Conversation, 10pm, W

Former Strictly dancer Brendan Cole is this week’s guest, and opens up to John about how his relationship with partner Natasha Kaplinsky in series one of the celebrity dance contest kicked off the whole media obsession with the so-called ‘curse of Strictly’. He also recalls his spat with head judge Len Goodman, revealing that it happened while he was grieving for his late father, and sheds light on why he also fell out with Len’s replacement, Shirley Ballas. Remembering being teased about his love of dance as a boy in his native New Zealand, Brendan suggests that might be the root cause of why he is so quick to take offence… Rating: ***

Inventing the Impossible, 8pm, BBC2

The inventors tackle their toughest case yet as this inspirational Big Life Fix series continues. William is five and suffers from severe epilepsy. His seizures constantly change and require immediate doses of medication. The way his parents deal with it currently is to watch him day and night. They are exhausted and in desperate need of help. Haiyan takes on the case to make a monitoring system that keeps William safe while allowing his parents some rest. Elsewhere, Ryan and Ruby are hoping to use eye-gaze technology to allow 19-year-old Ian to sail despite his cerebral palsy. And finally, Susan, 66, who has multiple sclerosis, needs some better technology to allow her to keep living independently. Rating: ****

The Prosecutors, 9pm, BBC2

The fascinating work of the Crown Prosecution Service is explored in this new two-parter, which follows blind senior prosecutor Eran Cutliffe as she examines the evidence needed to bring cases to court. The first involves a criminal gang suspected of flying drones with drugs and other contraband into prisons. For over a year, Eran works with the police as they try to find a link between those flying the drones and the inmates receiving the illicit goods. Will they find what they need? Rating: ****
