Dark Heart, 9pm, ITV
The classy cop drama ends in chilling style this week as Staffe becomes embroiled in the murky world of the adult film industry. Father Connolly (Charles Lawson, aka Corrie’s Jim McDonald) is shocked when he enters his church and finds the body of a young woman, who turns out to be an adult film star. Staffe and the team investigate, and learn that the victim recently made a particularly disturbing film, but her background also reveals some dark secrets… Elsewhere, Staffe’s family life also take a troubling turn – his sister Juliette is growing increasingly distressed trying to locate her errant fiancé Paulo. Will she find out about her brother’s involvement in Paulo’s disappearance? Concludes tomorrow. Rating: ****
Trust, 9pm, BBC2
The final episode of this series overflowing with chicanery deals with the aftermath of Little Paul’s kidnapping. Billionaire J Paul Getty (Donald Sutherland) remains as uninterested as ever in his poor grandson’s welfare and is instead consumed with opening his Getty Museum of art in California. As for Little Paul (Harris Dickinson) – a silhouetted shot foretells his fate in a way that will make perfect sense to those who know the story but will have other viewers Googling it. And, finally, one of his kidnappers, Primo (Luca Marinelli) shows that there’s no honour among thieves. Rating: ****
Grand Designs: House of the Year, 9pm, C4
The hunt to find the Royal Institute of British Architects’ House of the Year 2018 continues. This time the focus is on buildings with a past that have been made into the most spectacular modern homes. Kevin McCloud, architect Damion Burrows and design expert Michelle Ogundehin have five of the very best to view, beginning with a characterful old gin distillery in east London. There’s also a farmhouse in Devon that perfectly mixes the old and new, a house built in 1790 in Bath that now includes an ultra-modern extension, a 400-year-old farmhouse rescued from the very brink of collapse and, finally, a unique home inspired by a shed that includes a mirrored library at its heart. Rating: ****
