Girlfriends, 9.00pm, ITV

Well Linda knows how to deliver a curveball, doesn’t she?! After last week’s revelations, Gail and Sue are unsure how to react and another shocking decision by their old pal only gives them extra cause for concern… Sue soon has another shedload of worries on her mind, though, after witnessing the toll that her looming tribunal has taken on John. But after he makes her a tempting offer, she faces a huge dilemma. There are fireworks as Andrew comes face to face with his dad and his unsuspecting brothers… Things might be looking up for Gail, though (at last!), after she has a heart-to-heart with ex Dave, but will Tom put another spanner in the works or can she finally stand up to her errant son? Rating: ****

Wonders of the Moon, 9.00pm, BBC1

Wonders of the Moon

From lighting up the night sky to affecting our tides, the Moon has a huge and sometimes unfathomable influence on our planet. Using new filming techniques that allow us to see the Moon like never before, this film follows the monthly lunar cycle around the planet, exploring how it affects life on Earth and why we are so fascinated by it. It also reveals more about a total solar eclipse and explains why America experienced its first one in nearly a century in the summer of 2017. And if you’ve noticed the Moon looking even more spectacular than normal recently, that’s because it’s been a bumper year for the “Super Moon”. Rating: ****
