Michael McIntyre’s Big Show, 8.10pm, BBC1

Lock your doors and hide your mobile phones – Michael McIntyre is back for a third series! And the prankster comedian is spicing things up this time round with a brand new spot called ‘Midnight Gameshow’, which sees him bursting into viewers’ bedrooms in the dead of night! His ‘Celebrity Send to All’ segment returns, too, and this week, Michael sends naughty texts from former politician and Strictly star Ed Balls’ phone, plus more members of the public will unwittingly take part as the ‘Unexpected Star of the Show’. Emeli Sandé provides the music this week, and there’ll be plenty of all-new standup comedy from the main man himself. Rating: ****

This eight-part sequel to 2013’s The White Queen follows the marriage between Elizabeth ‘Lizzie’ of York (Jodie Comer) and Henry VII (Jacob Collins-Levy). Lizzie finds herself betrothed to Henry after her beloved Richard III is defeated at Bosworth. Their marriage will unite their rival houses and bring peace to England, but the two detest each other and Lizzie is plotting a quiet revolt against her intended… Rating: ****

All aboard the Blackpool Express! Strictly is taking over the famous Tower Ballroom once again and there’s candyfloss for all. While the donkeys plod along the beach, our remaining couples will be foxtrotting across the huge sprung dance floor, with backing dancers, props and lots of magical surprises, all in a bid to prise some more tens out of the judges. Can Craig raise a smile in the home of ballroom? Stand by for some old school razzmatazz, too, as the pros and contestants come together for a show-stopping group number. Plus Michael Ball and Alfie Boe guest in tomorrow night’s results show. Rating: *****
