Age Before Beauty, 9pm, BBC1

Bel’s plan to get revenge on personal trainer Lorelei hits a stumbling block tonight when Wes’ lover realises that her client ‘Sheila’ is Bel in disguise. Meanwhile, Teddy’s scheme to split up Bel and Wes so he can have Bel all for himself gathers pace. On a lighter note, Leanne becomes a self-proclaimed anti-ageing guru and launches her miracle product at a beauty fair. Trouble is, she hasn’t got any further than designing the packaging… Rating: ****

Ackley Bridge, 8pm, C4

They say your school days are the best of your life, but that hasn’t really been the case for Jordan Wilson. The talented artist is determined to knuckle down and do well in his GCSEs to get into art college, until a reunion with his estranged mum looks set to jeopardise that. Meanwhile, headteacher Mandy’s job is on the line when she is forced to question her loyalty to Sadiq… Rating: ***

Saving Lives at Sea, 8pm, BBC2

At Salcombe Harbour in Devon the volunteer lifeboat crew have received a mayday call from a fishing boat. A fisherman has been dragged overboard while laying crab pots, trapping him under the boat. This is just one of the terrifying rescues, recorded by cameras attached to the brave members of the RNLI, to feature in the action-packed series which returns tonight. With two episodes on this week – episode two is on Thursday, 8pm (not Scotland) – crews from around the country recall crucial call outs. In Anglesey, north Wales, two kayakers have been reported missing on a freezing day, while in London the Tower crew has been called to a man balancing on scaffolding at night above the fast-flowing Thames. Rating: ****
