The secret identity of Top Gear's stunt racing driver, The Stig has apparently been revealed. According to reports, The Stig is Ben Collins, a racing driver and professional stuntman from Bristol. Click here to see a picture of Ben Collins. He was unmasked after he went to a photographic studio to commission a series of prints of The Stig in action and told the owners who he was. Ben, 33, is believed to be the second Stig after the first, racing driver Perry McCarthy, was axed from the show when he revealed his identity in an autobiography in 2002. BBC insiders are understood to be annoyed that the secret is out. One told The Times: "It is ****** annoying. You wouldn't write a piece saying that Santa didn't exist." It has also been reported that Ben is one of four drivers that appear as The Stig. But a BBC spokesman said: "We never comment on speculation as to whom or what The Stig is." Rumours of The Stig's real identity have been circulating on the internet for more than a year. Fans of the show uploaded a video of Ben onto Youtube entitled The Stig Real Identity = Ben Collins Top Gear. CLICK below to see the video of Ben in action
