Star Wars star Warwick Davis is on a mission with Bear Grylls

Has Warwick Davis, currently on the big screen in Solo: A Star Wars Story, got what it takes to ace a mission in the wild with adventurer Bear Grylls?

Since Warwick Davis has appeared in Star Wars and Harry Potter films, he must be used to out-of-this-world adventures, right?

The actor and presenter will be put to the test when he joins action-man Bear Grylls for a challenging two-day journey through the wilder parts of the Lake District in the upcoming ITV one-off, Bear's Mission With Warwick Davis, which follows on from his celeb adventures with boxer Anthony Joshua and comedian Rob Brydon.

The pair will be seen tackling deep gorges and cliffs and settling down for unusual meals, which could be a challenge for Warwick who admits he is a fussy eater!

“This journey was such a special one for me," says Bear Grylls. "Warwick smashed through so many of the stereotypes of who can adventure and what people can do! He is an inspiration to so many and I am so proud of what he achieved on this journey.”

Bear's Mission With Warwick Davis will be shown on ITV later this year

Simon has long been a fan of soap operas, and especially loves OVER-THE-TOP plots involving evil twins, hair-pulling catfights and natural disasters. Anyone remember the Sunset Beach earthquake/tidal wave? Or when Krystle Carrington got locked in the attic and replaced by look-a-like Rita in Dynasty?!

Simon has written for a variety of TV and childrens’ magazines/websites including Inside Soap, Nickelodeon, What’s On TV, Radio Times, Metro, Girl Talk, Disney Girl, Toxic! and Digital Spy. He has reported LIVE from the red carpet at The British Soap Awards interviewing glammed-up stars from soapland, and hosted a Facebook LIVE session for Metro with Home and Away legend Ray Meagher (Alf "Stone the flamin' crows!" Stewart) to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Aussie soap.

Simon is also co-author of The Treasures Of Coronation Street (Carlton Books)

And the writer and director of (very!) low budget fright flick, Midsummer Night's EVIL and the sequel webisodes series, The Hatchet Woods HORROR.
