No wonder Pointless host Alexander Armstrong is “excited” about presenting Frank Sinatra: Our Way tonight, BBC1’s new singing contest …
Alexander likes to croon the Sinatra classics himself - as you can see in our video (below), where he sings “Fly Me To The Moon”, on Your Face Sounds Familiar, ITV’s 2013 charity celeb talent show.
The BBC’s contest, co-presented by fellow Sinatra fan Rochelle Humes from The Saturdays, is part of TV’s celebration of the centenary of Sinatra’s birth in December.
“I am so excited to be celebrating this Sinatra centenary year in such fantastic company,” Alexander told the Hull Daily Mail. “We’re going to be throwing the spotlight onto some truly inspirational and dazzling acts from all around the country. I can't think of a better tribute to the legacy of one of the 20th century's most iconic figures.”
Frank Sinatra: Our Way, BBC1, Saturday, January 3, 7.00pm.
