Watch Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny's electric chemistry at the X Files premiere

The X-Files stars Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny demonstrated the chemistry that made the show a worldwide hit on the red carpet premiere of the new series of the show in Los Angeles.

It is 13 years since the original run, but the pair showed they were still close as they giggled and whispered in each other’s ears and talked about the sci-fi series.

The duo also reminisced about their past as FBI agents Mulder and Scully and joked about how they were able to pick up where they left off.

The new episodes of The X-Files will air on Channel 5 in early February.
