Former Waterloo Road favourite Heather Peace has released a free track, Lily, from her new album.
The actress, who played deputy head teacher Nikki Boston in the BBC1 school drama, recently left the show to concentrate on her music career.
She said: “Music has been my first love since I began singing in church and taking piano lessons at five years old. I flirted with the charts a little bit in my 20’s, but this is the first time I’ve felt confident enough to take a break from acting to give it my full attention.”
She has enjoyed past success with her first album Fairytales, which reached number seven in the album charts in 2012 and lead to three sell-out UK tours. She has also performed alongside Brian May and singer-songwriter KT Tunstall and headlined Manchester Pride 2013.
The new album, The Thin Line, is released on June 6. Lily is available for free on her website.
