Family drama Wild at Heart has been recommissioned for a fourth series, ITV has announced. Kingdom, starring Stephen Fry, will also return for a third series later in the year. Wild at Heart, starring Stephen Tompkinson and Amanda Holden, follows the fortunes of vet Danny and wife Sarah as they run their game reserve, Leopard's Den, in South Africa. More than eight million viewers tuned into the third series of Wild at Heart, which climaxed with the death of Amanda's character, Sarah. Charlie Pattinson, executive producer for Wild at Heart, said: "We're absolutely delighted Wild At Heart will be coming back for a fourth series. "The show is entering a new phase in its history and there are plenty more stories to be told about life at Leopard’s Den. "Next year we have two very exciting new cast members – a pair of baby elephants who are currently only eight weeks old!" The second series of Kingdom, which centres on affable country solicitor Peter Kingdom, pulled in an average of six million viewers. Simon Wheeler, executive producer of Kingdom, said: “We're really pleased to be heading back to Norfolk this summer. There are so many stories for the Kingdom family and beyond that we can't wait to tell!"
