Winter Olympics star Amy Williams joins The Gadget Show
Olympic gold medallist Amy Williams is joining Channel 5's The Gadget Show.
Amy, who claimed victory in the skeleton at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, will join Jason Bradbury, Ortis Deley and Jon Bentley to test out a variety of innovations on the technology show when it returns in the autumn.
The 31-year-old will replace Countdown's Rachel Riley, who has been a co-presenter on The Gadget Show for three series.
"I'm delighted to be joining the team at The Gadget Show and can’t wait to get stuck in testing the latest technology on the market," says Amy, who has also appeared in 71 Degrees North and Ski Sunday.

Over the years, she has spent many a day in a muddy field or an on-set catering bus chatting to numerous stars on location including the likes of Olivia Colman, David Tennant, Suranne Jones, Jamie Dornan, Dame Judi Dench and Sir Derek Jacobi as well as Hollywood actors such as Glenn Close and Kiefer Sutherland.
Caren will happily sit down and watch any kind of telly (well, maybe not sci-fi!), but she particularly loves period dramas like Call the Midwife, Downton Abbey and The Crown and she’s also a big fan of juicy crime thrillers from Line of Duty to Poirot.
In her spare time, Caren enjoys going to the cinema and theatre or curling up with a good book.
