One of celebrity chef Antony Worrall Thompson's pubs has been rated 'zero' by food hygiene inspectors, it was confirmed on Friday. The 55-year-old is the executive chef at The Angel Coaching Inn in Heytesbury, Wiltshire. He claims on the pub's website to have 'set up a tasty menu using only the freshest, seasonal ingredients'. But the star's upmarket eatery failed to impress environmental health officers from West Wiltshire District Council. A spokesman for the department said: "All we are interested in is raising hygiene standards." The celebrity chef told The Sun: "This is totally unacceptable. The survey was carried out just before Christmas and everything was a mess. Sides hadn't been washed down, food had not been put away and we didn't have extra staff to handle the rush. "We sacked the head chef and appointed another. Things are a lot better."
