Gemma Jones: 'I'd do another Bridget Jones film!'

Gemma Jones reveals she's unrecognisable as Campe, the terrifying half-woman, half-scorpion creature she plays in an upcoming episode of BBC1's Atlantis.

Talking to whatsontv.co.uk, Gemma - who made her name in 1970s series The Duchess of Duke Street - said: "Campe is an ancient creature, with the knowledge of centuries, who emits ghastly prophecies.

"I've never done anything like this before. I didn't know what I was letting myself in for! I had a mould made of my head and teeth and spent hours in make-up. The transformation is extraordinary!"

Gemma is arguably more recognisable for her roles as seasoned spy Connie James in Spooks and Renee Zellweger's mum in the Bridget Jones Diary films.
