The US is constantly creating must-see entertainment content and you might be thinking that these programs are only available to US audiences — but that's not the case.
Thanks to these US streaming platforms securing deals with UK broadcasters like Sky and ITV, we can now watch award-winning content from a variety of genres. Although the UK isn't guaranteed the same release date as those across the pond, it saves you from waiting an age until they reach UK screens.
Here are the US dramas available to watch on both UK channels and streaming this week, as well as our top picks.
The Hunting Party season 2
Investigations are underway on U&Alibi as the second season of The Hunting Party continues on 13 August. The crime procedural follows former FBI profiler Bex (Melissa Roxburgh) and a team of agents that track down and capture the most dangerous killers who have escaped from a top-secret prison that's not supposed to exist.
In the third episode of The Hunting Party season 2, Bex races to catch Zack Lang (Michael Stahl-David), a class-obsessed serial killer who murdered wealthy New Yorkers. When Bex notices a contrast between his victims in the past and present, the gang must delve into Zack's unresolved trauma in order to stop him.
Reacher season 4
Prime Video's biggest tough guy is back with a bang as Reacher punches his way onto our screens for the fourth time. Alan Ritchson returns as author Lee Child's Jack Reacher character for the hit action thriller, which is based on Child's 13th book, Gone Tomorrow.
The official plot synopsis of Reacher season 4 reads: "When a chance encounter with a distraught stranger on a subway goes horribly wrong, Jack Reacher is drawn into a complex and deadly game that pits him against ruthless foes from the highest echelons of power."

The Shards
Ryan Murphy has another TV creation to add to his ever-expanding screen repertoire with the seductive Disney+ drama The Shards. Based on Bret Easton Ellis’s bestselling novel, it follows an elite group of high schoolers who navigate identity, sex, jealousy, obsession and the dangers of American adolescence in 1980s Los Angeles.
The Shards focuses on Bret (Igby Rigney), an aspiring writer whose reality falls apart when new student Robert Mallory (Homer Gere) arrives just as a serial killer called The Trawler starts targeting local teenagers.
The series also stars Kaia Gerber, Hayes Warner, Graham Campbell, Wes Bentley, and Evan Rachel Wood.
