Anton Murphy has become the sixth person to get the boot from the Big Brother house, following a public vote in which four housemates were up for eviction. The record company boss from South London lost out after receiving the lowest number of votes from viewers as he faced nomination for the second week in a row. Last week he narrowly escaped the chop as Aden Theobald left the house - but this Friday he proved no match for fellow nominees Jay McKray, Harry Blake and Jem Palmer. And after Jem and Harry learned they had received the most votes from viewers in the first half of the show, Anton ultimately lost out to Jay in the final stage of voting. The 23-year-old appeared unphased by the news, however, telling host Brian Dowling he was "fine" before leaving the house to a largely hostile reaction from the crowd. Afterwards he admitted that he had realised his time was up. "I thought I'd be out this week. I thought Jem would leave though, as she hasn’t done much," Anton admtited in his eviction interview. He also spoke out in praise of fellow housemates Jay, Aden and Louise, and hit back at claims that he was sexist - saying people should not have taken his jokes too seriously. "Some of my jokes can be crude but all guys are pretty much the same," he said. "I have manners for women, I respect women." Eight contestants now remain in the house.
