Oh brother! Call the Midwife and Hollyoaks stars join Casualty

Things heat up in Holby City Hospital's emergency department this January with the arrival of two new hunky doctors who also happen to be brothers…

George Rainsford, best known for playing Jimmy Wilson in Call the Midwife, joins the cast as geeky and distracted registrar Ethan Hardy in Saturday’s episode of the long-running BBC1 medical drama. Ethan is joined in the ED by Caleb ‘call me Cal’ Knight, his decidedly wilder brother, the following week.

Cal (played by Richard Winsor, Hollyoaks’ Father Francis) immediately cuts a dash with his colleagues, while Ethan attracts the attention of Dr Lily Chao…

Will it be a case of brotherly love or bothers-at-war for Ethan and Cal?

Other new faces joining Casualty later this year include Amanda Mealing (formerly in Holby City) and West End star, Lee Mead.
