I'm A Celeb: Campmates in jungle 'strike' row

Matthew Wright was left raging at Westlife "scab" Kian Egan after he attempted to organise a strike by his campmates in I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

The talk show host tried to rally the rest of the celebrities after they complained the camp in the Australian jungle was too hot and Kian asked for the rain canopy to be lowered to provide some shade.

The producers turned down his request, angering Matthew, who said: "If we all take our mikes off, we'll soon find the canopy will come down pretty quick. Are you with me fellows, revolution aye?"

The plan was scuppered when Emmerdale star Lucy Pargeter came back into the camp after her Bushtucker Trial and Kian asked her about it.

Matthew interrupted her, saying: "We thought we'd sit here in complete silence until the canopy comes down."

But Kian kept talking and Matthew told him: "That's solidarity, brother, that's what happened with industrial relations in this country - scabs like you."

Another attempt at a conversation was interrupted, with Matthew telling Kian: "Oh scab! I didn't even want the canopy down, I'm only doing it for everyone else. I thought we were going to make some kind of stand and then every three seconds you are undermining it."

The Westlife star snapped back: "You are the only person who wants to do it! Lucy has just come back from the trial - we should listen to her speak! Let her talk about it. Your attitude is unnecessary."

There were more problems for the celebrities when the cameras spotted model Amy Willerton giving Joey Essex some contraband chewing gum she had smuggled into the camp.

The producers warned the campers to hand over all their contraband or lose three of the 10 meals Lucy had won in the trial - resulting in a secret stash including towels, a torch, a pen and gum being handed over.
