I'm A Celeb's Rebecca reveals anxiety disorder

I'm A Celebrity's Rebecca Adlington has revealed that an anxiety disorder which causes panic attacks led to her being ruled out of some of the bushtucker trials during her time in the jungle.

The Olympic swimmer suffered a backlash from viewers after being ruled out of one challenge after another - leading many to speculate that she might be pregnant.

However she has now revealed that the condition was claustrophobia-related and is serious enough to have kept her away from certain tasks.

"I have an anxiety disorder specific to confined underground spaces, and I've had panic attacks in the past," she told the Daily Mail. "I disclosed that in my medical before I went into the jungle."

She added that it had not been her decision to skip the trials, explaining: "We were never aware in advance what the trials were. It was up to the doctors to exempt people. It really was no big deal."

Rebecca - who left camp in a double elimination with Alfonso Ribeiro on Thursday night - also revealed that she wants Kian Egan to take the title this year, describing him as a 'lovely, lovely person'.

Friday night's show saw hot favourite Joey Essex make a shock early exit along with beauty queen Amy Willerton.

Kian, David Emanuel and Lucy Pargeter remain in the I'm A Celebrity camp, with one more due to leave on Saturday ahead of Sunday night's final.
