Apprentice finalist Leah targeted by web trolls

The Apprentice finalist Leah Totton has been the subject of abuse from Internet trolls questioning her medical qualifications.

The 25-year-old - who will go head to head with fellow candidate Luisa Zissman in Wednesday's final of the show - has been forced to defend herself online after she was accused of faking her credentials.

One person wrote on her fan page: "Dying to know how on earth you have become a qualified Dr by the age of 24.” - with Leah herself responding: “You seem to be ignorant of the fact most doctors qualify in the UK aged 23?”

Others have accused her of being simply 'eye candy' on the BBC One show and have taunted her about her looks.

“Some of the people have said some sick things. They must have nothing better to do with their time," Leah's aunt Helena Lindsay told the Sunday People.

"My niece is a highly skilled professional woman and the fact some people can only see her as the show’s eye candy is pretty disgusting.

“Luckily she’s so focused on the final she won’t let trolls and their abuse affect her.

“She’s had years of experience in clinics and her impeccable track record speaks for itself."

Leah revealed on Wednesday night's Apprentice that she plans to open a chain of cosmetic treatment clinics if she becomes Lord Sugar's new business partner.

Lord Sugar put her into the final despite questioning the ethics of her proposed business during the final boardroom scene.
