Comedy duo Alexander Armstrong and Ben Miller are teaming-up to host an ITV entertainment special in honour of Prince Charles's 70th birthday

Comedy duo Armstrong and Miller are reuniting to host We Are Most Amused and Amazed, an ITV entertainment special being staged at The London Palladium in honour of His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales's 70th birthday in November.

The one-off, two-hour event will see a star-studded line-up of comedians and magicians take to the stage to entertain Prince Charles and a packed audience for his milestone birthday.

ITV have so far confirmed Rowan Atkinson, Bill Bailey, Omid Djalili and magicians Penn & Teller and Dynamo will all be performing on the night, with more famous faces still to be announced.

It's been a while since Alexander Armstrong and Ben Miller last performed together. Their BBC comedy sketch show, The Armstrong & Miller Show was last aired in 2010 and since then the pair have focused on solo projects.

"This is going to be a night from the very toppermost drawer," says Alexander who regularly presents BBC gameshow Pointless. "What a colossal honour it is to be hosting such a dazzling line-up for HRH and best of all I’ll be alongside my lovely old friend Ben thingy."

Meanwhile, Ben Miller, who was recently in Paddington 2 says: "Alexander Armstrong and I are delighted to be hosting Prince Charles’ favourite comedians and magicians at the Palladium, and all in a very good cause: relaunching our comedy careers. And raising a few quid for the Prince’s Trust of course."
