A Batmobile created to promote the Batman TV show will be auctioned in London on Tuesday - beside the Reliant Regal van made famous by the Trotters in Only Fools And Horses. The superhero's car, created in the 1960s, is expected to fetch more than £75,000 when it goes under the hammer. Meanwhile, the rusty yellow three-wheeler, with 'Trotter's Independent Trading Co' emblazoned on the side, comes with a possible price tag of up to £20,000. The two motoring icons are some of the vehicles for sale at Coys Spring Classics auction in London. The Batmobile was designed when the superhero broke a leg in the 1950s and faithful sidekick Robin built the vehicle to help him continue to protect Gotham City. The car became globally famous, featuring in more than 100 episodes of the show. The 1972 Reliant Regal was the second van to be made for the hit BBC comedy Only Fools And Horses, starring David Jason and Nicholas Lyndhurst. The vehicle faced being blown up in one episode, but the show's producers decided it was too much of a valuable resource. It comes complete with a parking ticket, twine covering the roof rack and a hand-written label in the corner of the windscreen that reads: "Tax in post". The auction will take place at the Royal Horticultural Hall in London.
